Ajrakh hand block printed on Kerala’s Balaramapuram Handloom Cotton Saree with typical kerala Kasavu (Zari) border. Balaramapuram handloom cluster of Kerala state produces traditional sarees that are woven with kora white cotton yarn (grey or unbleached or non-dyed yarn) of finer counts like 8os, 100s. The materials used for their weaving are cotton and Kasavu (or Zari). Kasavu is the Malayalam name of “Zari”; a silk thread twisted with a thin silver wire and electroplated in. Hand block printing on this traditional Kerala kasavu sarees is done by the Ajrakh artisans of Kutchh.

Our fabrics and dresses use only natural colours which tend to run slightly at first wash. So make sure to dry dry clean them for the first wash.
