As a hard core Malayali (but NRI), I had a vision of representing a part of our culture by wearing traditional hand weaves in American/global business settings as a part of my job. The team worked with me in turning this vision into a reality.
This is a blazer and formal dress I wore to my U.S. citizenship oath ceremony, representing the duality of my life. This was made out of the iconic Kerala Kasavu handloom material, which was actually my mother's sari of over 15 years. The By Hand team sourced fine quality blazer lining material to support the Kasavu material.
